This 2004 short film directed by Onn Nir provides an excellent depiction of the main story elements. The only thing missing, which may be impossible to capture in such a short film, is the “seeking adventure for adventure’s sake” theme of the original. Watch and enjoy!

If you are interested in a more modern, very humorous take on the story, you might enjoy this 2018 adaption from Matthew Evans and Los Metates Studios.
